This Privacy Policy explains what information AniSync ("the Bot") collects and how it is used. By adding or using the Bot in a Discord server, you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Server data: Server ID, channel IDs, and role IDs used for bot configuration.
User data: User IDs, usernames, and message content only where required for a specific command or feature (e.g., watchlists, notifications, or sync features).
Command usage data: Commands run, timestamps, and related metadata for functionality and debugging.

The Bot does not collect passwords, payment information, or Discord account credentials.

2. How We Use Information

Collected data is used only to:

Operate and improve the Bot's features
Maintain server-specific settings and configurations
Troubleshoot errors and prevent abuse

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage & Retention

Data is stored securely and retained only as long as necessary to provide the Bot's functionality. Server configuration data is deleted when the Bot is removed from a server. You may request earlier deletion (see Section 6).

4. Third-Party Sharing

We do not share collected data with third parties, except:

When required by law
To Discord, as necessary for the Bot to operate via the Discord API

5. Data Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect stored data from unauthorized access, alteration, or loss. No method of storage is 100% secure.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, or deletion of, data associated with your user ID or server by contacting us (see Section 8). Server administrators can remove the Bot at any time to stop data collection for that server.

7. Children's Privacy

The Bot is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data through the Bot, contact us to request removal.

9. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated periodically. Continued use of the Bot after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

By adding or using AniSync ("the Bot") in a Discord server, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Bot.

1. Use of the Bot

You may use the Bot only in compliance with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, and all applicable laws. You are responsible for how the Bot is used in your server.

2. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

Use the Bot to violate any law or Discord's rules
Attempt to exploit, abuse, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Bot
Use the Bot to harass, spam, or harm others
Use the Bot in a way that overloads or abuses its services

3. Availability

The Bot is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or continuous operation, and features may change, be added, or removed at any time without notice.

4. Data

Use of the Bot is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data is collected and how it is used.

5. Termination

We may suspend or block the Bot's access to your server, or restrict specific users, at our discretion, without notice, for violations of these Terms or for any other reason.

6. Limitation of Liability

The Bot is provided free of charge. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages, data loss, or issues arising from use of the Bot.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Bot after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
